Proper fiber installation — including appropriate splice enclosures, patch panels, and OTDR testing — ensures that your backbone will support 10G, 40G, or 100G upgrades without recabling.

In India, it is common to see cabling installations that use certified materials but are installed carelessly — excessive bends, poor terminations, and untested runs that will cause intermittent failures. Insisting on TIA-568 or ISO/IEC 11801 compliance, with channel and permanent link testing using a Fluke or similar certifier, ensures that the installed system performs as specified.
